Terms of Use

Last updated: July 6, 2026

These terms explain how you may use Invoice Toolkit. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Invoice Toolkit provides

Invoice Toolkit offers free online tools and templates for creating and reviewing common billing documents — including invoices, estimates, receipts, proforma invoices, commercial invoices, payment reminders, and related worksheets.

The site is designed for freelancers, contractors, agencies, and small businesses that want a lightweight way to prepare documents without setting up accounting software or creating an account.

What we do not provide

Invoice Toolkit is not:

  • legal, tax, accounting, customs, or compliance advice;
  • a substitute for a qualified bookkeeper, accountant, lawyer, or tax adviser;
  • a payment processor or collections service;
  • a guarantee that any document meets every local, industry, or client requirement.

Templates and tools include common fields that many businesses use, but requirements vary by country, carrier, client, and business type. You are responsible for reviewing every document before you send it.

Your responsibilities

  • Check that names, dates, amounts, tax lines, payment instructions, and totals are accurate.
  • Confirm that the document matches your contract, purchase order, or client instructions.
  • Send documents through your own email, billing, or payment workflow.
  • Keep copies and records in the systems you use for your business.
  • Use the tools only for lawful business purposes.

Accounts, fees, and access

The core tools are free to use and do not require signup. We may change, limit, or discontinue parts of the site in the future. If paid features are introduced later, they will be described clearly before you choose to use them.

Drafts and working data are generally stored on your device. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. For example, you may not:

  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service;
  • use the site to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content;
  • misrepresent Invoice Toolkit as approving, certifying, or guaranteeing your documents;
  • use automated means to scrape or abuse the site in ways that harm other users or the service.

Content and intellectual property

The site design, templates, guides, and tool interfaces belong to Invoice Toolkit or its licensors. You may use the tools to create documents for your own business needs.

You keep ownership of the business information you enter. We do not claim your client names, invoice numbers, line items, or other document content as our own.

Service availability

Invoice Toolkit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the tools reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free output, or that every PDF, preview, or calculation will be perfect for every situation.

You should review the final document before sending it to a client, supplier, carrier, or authority.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Invoice Toolkit and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, payment delays, rejected invoices, customs issues, tax penalties, or similar outcomes arising from your use of the site.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use the specific feature giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you used the service for free.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
